Classificaiton: Administrative Support Coordinator I
Department: The School of Accountancy in the College of Business and Economics and Division of Academic Affairs is seeking an exceptional individual to join their team as the School of Accountancy Coordinator I (Administrative Support Coordinator I). This pivotal position will support the academic and administrative functions of the school and its center and labs, contributing to the success of both students and faculty within the dynamic field of accountancy. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Job Summary:
Essential Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent and two years of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work or the equivalent. Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems, and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage budget-related responsibilities, including monitoring expenditures, reconciling accounts, tracking financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with established fiscal guidelines. Possess proficiency in mail merge functions and similar software tools to efficiently create, customize, and distribute high-volume communications and documents. Additionally, experience in planning and coordinating events is highly desirable, including managing logistics, scheduling, vendor coordination, communications, and on-site support to ensure successful execution of programs and events.
